I feel so bad for medical professionals at this time. I know for a fact that the pandemic has been SO hard on them (View the three videos above to see how difficult it is for them), and with people not staying in anymore and not wearing masks, it is only going to get a lot worse.
PLEASE do your part by staying safe, wearing a mask, and staying in.
Also, please do respect medical professionals. Their job may be to keep you healthy, but if they all quit on us, we would be doomed, so be nice to them, unlike lockdown protesters. (Video above is of one medical professional who rightfully quit after being told that she’d have to work with Coronavirus patients WITHOUT a mask! Video below is of anti-lockdown protesters trying to block hospital streets and being stopped by some badass nurses! Pictures of this incident will be at the bottom of this post.)
It drives me crazy when people say they appreciate medical professionals and then they aren’t careful and they don’t take precautions by staying in and wearing a mask when they can’t stay in. (That is what the picture above illustrates.)
In Houston, Texas (and I‘m sure in other places as well), they had a parade celebrating the work of medical professionals and other essential workers, and the first thing that came to my mind was, why aren’t they donating the money they are using to hospitals? That is what they should be doing instead of risking lives by going out and having large get-togethers.
In fact, having a parade is the exact opposite of what they said to do, so they are showing their appreciation by ignoring what medical professionals have said to do.
It annoys me, to say the least.
This video is of a doctor explaining what I just explained to you. Cities should be using the money they are putting toward parades and other non-essential things toward hospitals instead.
The video above is of nurses opposing anti-lockdown protests by stopping them from blocking hospital roads.
It is an outrage to me that they even had to do this! PEOPLE’S LIVE DEPEND ON GETTING TO HOSPITALS!!!!!!! Don’t blame your idiocy on the ill or injured! Actually, don’t blame anything on the I’ll or injured because that could just as easily be you.
This video doesn’t have much to do with the subject, but I thought it was nice that this nonprofit is doing its part by supporting people who are truly struggling a lot during this time: The homeless. It is really inspiring!
Anyway, don’t worry too much about catching COVID-19. As long as you do your part to stay safe, you will be fine. And in these times of taking care of your physical health, do not forget to take care of your mental health as well.
(Yes, I’m foreshadowing one of my future posts.)
