Anti-Lockdown & White Privilege

Personally, I think protesting quarantine is stupid.

Here we are trying to help and prevent more people from dying and you are protesting AGAINST it.

It is stupid and selfish, just as not wearing a mask is selfish.

You say, "Oh, I'll be fine, if it is my time to die, it's my time." But what about other people? Suddenly you have the right to decide if someone else dies just because you don't want to wear a mask?

That's why I think it is stupid.

These people are unbelievable. I can understand wanting prom and stuff, hell, I gave up my prom for this too. I’m not even going to my own high school graduation because of this, but unlike the people in this video, I understand that it is to KEEP PEOPLE SAFE. My prom and my graduation are not worth my life or my family members’ lives.

White supremacy is more prominent in America than it has been in years, not because it ever went away, but because having a white supremacist as President has brought it into the light.

I can hear the objection now, "He's not a white supremacist!!!!!!!!!"

If you just objected to Donald Trump being a white supremacist without a thought, there is nothing I can do to help you, so you might as well leave this post.

This link I posted above is of an anti-lockdown protest in Michigan. Not only does it imply how stupid the protest is, but it also basically says that if these protesters were anything but white and got up in the police’s faces as they did, they’d be wrestled to the ground, shot, and/or killed.

Check out this video (above) to see what I mean. If they weren’t white, they’d be shot down by police, the double standard is absolutely outrageous!

This next video (above) is of a man at Costco refusing to put on a mask after a worker tried to explain to him that it’s company policy and he’s not allowed to shop there if he doesn’t.

To me, this is upsetting because the guy just works there, he didn’t make the rules! Give the essential workers a break for goodness sake! However, I do not think we should make wearing a mask mandatory, because if they want to be stupid, let them be stupid.

This video shows a man being pushed into the water at a park in Austin, Texas for asking people to social distance themselves.

Honestly, I hope the guy that pushed him gets made into an example and spends two years in jail. Am I cruel? Maybe. But it was uncalled for. The guy was just trying to keep him and other people safe. Not to mention, if he had COVID-19, he definitely gave the guy he pushed in the water the illness too, and that could be made into an even more serious charge and sentence.

This next video is also from Texas, but this time it takes place in a mall in Houston. I wanted to put this video in this post because it shows exactly how careless people are being. Just about no one in this video is wearing a mask or social distancing. And I have also noticed this, being that I am in Texas. Hardly anyone wears masks! It makes me so angry and so fearful, so much so to the point that (As I said before) I’m not even going to go to my own high school graduation because I don’t want myself of anyone else in my family to die.

Here is a video of the governor saying that he knows reopening Texas will cause more COVID-19 cases and more deaths. It is absurd, although I know staying in lockdown any longer would cause great damage to the economy.
